INTO THE VOID
A downloadable game for Windows
An abandoned starbase, adrift on the edge of a black hole. The crew are gone. Their final logs scattered, embedded in black boxes scattered across the void.
You are alone.
At least, you were.
MAP THE DARKNESS
In INTO THE VOID, you can’t see the world—not with visible light. The starbase lies beyond the reach of normal vision. No natural illumination, no artificial glow.
Only LiDAR scanners pierce the dark, mapping space through invisible pulses of near-infrared light. The world around you is revealed not in images, but in data. Shapes. Echoes. Shadows of what used to be.
Use your helmet scanner to sweep the space ahead of you, and deployable scanners to reveal distant locations;
Survey scanners offer longer range, but only capture a single moment in time.
Recon scanners have less memory, but run continuously—helpful for keeping watch.
RECOVER THE BLACK BOXES
Six black boxes remain. Recover all six and return to your dropship to complete your mission. Use your tools to your advantage:
- WASD: Move
- Mouse: Look around
- LMB: Interact
- Space: Toggle helmet scanner.
- Number Keys: Throw/Recall portable scanners.
And above all:
Don't move when they're listening.
If you can hear them...
They can hear you.

Awesome game! I love the build onto the concept of using LIDAR to see. I made a youtube video highlighting your game. I have a part two coming out when i get done editing it. Please Keep making more or expanding on what you have already done. Loved it!
Thanks so much for playing!
Some really useful feedback in your video - I've just pushed a quick update for the menu cursor (v2.1.7).
Looking forward to part 2 :D
